Wenzhou has a unique funeral culture: the graves prepared by the living for themselves before they die.
Different families reflect individual identities, classes, and lifestyles. But they all have a common burden of death to continue their ideas in the world.
I used large-format film to record different families and their graves.
This work continues to the Wenzhou immigrants in France, who inherited the Eastern culture of life and death and brought it to the West. The conflict and integration is also a process of blending of two cultures.
